The goal of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College Lecture Series is to support access to knowledge creation and sharing at the highest indigenous tertiary education institution in Saint Lucia. This is consistent with the role of a university in any society and is particularly important as Sir Arthur Lewis Community College is currently aiming to efficiency and effectiveness.
The lecture series is designed to help faculty, researchers and experts in their field share their research and innovation to support the development of the mind of our society, and to support the exercise of intelligence at all levels and in a wide variety of areas. Along with live sessions, the series will be accessed synchronously and asynchronously via live-stream and video on demand. With its cachet, it can influence the level of discourse within civil society; between government and civil society, and the media; as well as invite and elevate discourse between Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and academic colleges within the region and worldwide.
The lecture series will feature persons operating at the highest level in their field, who have made contributions to their fields, globally or regionally. The lecture series will be one of the means through which citizens of Saint Lucia and the region can access and evaluate research into innovations in their fields, and the contributions these have made to our growth. The benefits of such access are priceless. And it is fitting and necessary that Sir Arthur Lewis Community College assumes a role of stewardship in this regard.
